Brooklyn, NY – January 13, 2025 Verada is pleased to announce that THE ARTISANALE, a bold new concept store, has signed a 10-year lease for 3,400 square feet at 307 Grand Street, a prime location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Founded by Gilles Blanchard and Renita George, THE ARTISANALE celebrates craftsmanship, artistry, and vintage culture. The store’s offerings will feature a curated mix of handmade and pre-loved fashion, art, furniture, and classic cars, with a strong commitment to sustainability and supporting both local businesses and global talents.

Gilles Blanchard, a seasoned designer and visionary, brings a wealth of experience to THE ARTISANALE. In addition to his leadership roles at major fashion companies, Blanchard is the former Head of Design at Calvin Klein and currently runs his own label, THE FACE N.7.

Renita George, an international entrepreneur and filmmaker, adds her creative and entrepreneurial expertise to the venture. With a diverse background in the arts and business, George has a unique perspective that shapes the store’s innovative and community-driven ethos.

The opening of THE ARTISANALE represents our passion for timeless elegance and creative expression, said Gilles Blanchard, Co-Founder of THE ARTISANALE. We’re creating a space inspired by the bold aesthetics of the '60s, '70s, and '80s—a haven for those who love strong visions and distinctive pieces. We stand against fast fashion and mass production, championing sustainability and respect for artisans and entrepreneurs.

A Vibrant Location for a Unique Concept

Located in the heart of Williamsburg, 307 Grand Street is surrounded by an eclectic mix of independent shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions. With its high visibility and accessibility, the location provides an ideal setting for THE ARTISANALE to foster a community for creatives and vintage lovers to connect and discover unique, storied pieces.

We’re thrilled to welcome THE ARTISANALE to Williamsburg,” said Brendan Thrapp, Managing Partner at Verada. Their innovative and community-driven concept adds another layer of creativity and character to this neighborhood.
